R4 Shows Question Mark and Menu When Uploaded

I randomly bought this R4 several days ago without knowing much almost the R4 cart differences. I also bought a 32 GB SanDisk microSD card alongside it. Ive tried to place/fix this error I proceed getting but its atomic number 82 me nowhere. Im not sure whether its a clone or not but any I do I keep getting the "Menu?" screen everytime. I dont know if its cause of my SD card (Which Ive formatted many times) or the kernels Im downloading but I cant get this card to work. If someone could give me a link to the right things to download for this cart or give me any tips then I would exist really grateful.

I would always get that mistake when I exercise non accept the proper files in the sd card. Try getting them from http://r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp

I tried downloading the kernels from at that place but I still get the aforementioned error. Exercise I extract information technology as a single file or extract information technology as multiple files? Ive tried both means only I withal go the mistake :/

Effort renaming R4.DAT to TTMenu.dat. Some of the R4i clones are infact DSTT clones of some sort or re-use their kernel files.

Sounds like the MicroSD slot is defective or you are using in incompatible file organization then. Do you lot have admission to a DS Lite so you lot tin rom dump it? The file name of the kernel it wants to use is in the SRL I believe and from in that location I can determine what it's actually looking for on MicroSD.

I used an internet archive site to load an archived page of the original site for your card. It does indeed use an odd kernel file proper name. Those files to a higher place should work for you.

Youre an absolute legend! It worked similar a charm and here I thought I would take to get another R4!
The roms work fine aswell! Getting that link seemed like a nightmare, so thanks alot for finding it, I really appreciate it!

Btw what cart practice I accept and besides this firmware do any other piece of work for it? I'd love to go to update the firmware so I could play on my DSiXL since I continue getting a message saying "An error has occurred.Press and concur the ability button to plow the system off." and I have no idea what to practice about it :/

I dont really take much to add to your plight, but holy shit i forgot that the R$ throws this screen of a sweaty micro SD card if information technology can't find the bill of fare. That fabricated me express joy really difficult.

I know you merely spent money on this card. But if Apache tin can't help you lot, you might want to exercise some research and try a new menu.

First of all, yous accept download the updated firmware for the flashcart right ? Take this microSD card in the flashcart, format it to FAT32 with a high cluster size (64kb), and then paste only the update firmware files in the microSD. Don't overwrite old files. Then effort information technology.
